Qualifications and Experience:
I’m a trainee Mindfulness Based Core Process psychotherapist, a practicing artist, and facilitator of wellbeing oriented work. I have been working In-person with adults as a volunteer therapist for The Listening Centre charity, and privately as Eleanor Minney Resource since 2023. My pronouns are she/her.
I initially trained in Fine Art, before realising a therapeutic training was right for me. Personal and professional experience led to a Graduate Certificate in Humanistic and Psychodynamic Counselling, at Goldsmiths University of London (2018), followed by Professional Training in Contemplative (Buddhist) Psychology (2018-2020). I’ve worked and volunteered in adult mental health settings, including charities in the community and in-patient wards.
I am registered with the UKCP (UK council for Psychotherapy) and the Association of Core Process Psychotherapists. All my work is supervised according to professional and ethical requirements. These standards of care are of great importance to me, and are grounded in a Buddhist informed ethic of non-harm.
I have experience supporting people with challenges including (not limited to):
- anxiety
- communication, expressing yourself
- confidence, self-esteem and self-worth
- depression
- grief and loss
- past trauma, traumatic experiences
- relationship issues
- showing up as you are – particularly if you don’t conform to ‘norms’, expectations or assumptions
- stress
- spiritual emergence
- uncertainty
